Παναγιώτατε,

Ἐπιθυμῶ νά ἐκφράσω τάς πλέον εἰλικρινεῖς εὐχαριστίας μου διά τό πρόσφατον συγχαρητήριον γράμμα Σας ἐπί τῇ ἐκλογῇ μου διά μίαν νέαν θητείαν ὡς Προέδρου τῆς Εὐρωπαϊκῆς Ἐπιτροπῆς.

Τό μέγεθος τῶν παγκοσμίων προκλήσεων τάς ὁποίας ἀντιμετωπίζομεν σήμερον εἶναι ἀπείρως μεγαλύτερον ἐν συγκρίσει πρός ἐκείνας κατά τήν ἀνάληψιν τῶν καθηκόντων μου τό πρῶτον. Ἀπό τῆς οἰκοδομῆς ἀνθεκτικῆς οἰκονομίας ἕως τήν ἀνάληψιν κοινῶν δράσεων διά τήν κλιματικήν ἀλλαγήν, ὁ κόσμος ἔχει ἀνάγκην ἰσχυρᾶς, προγραμματικῆς καί ἀποτελεσματικῆς συνεργασίας. Κατά τήν διάρκειαν τῆς θητείας μου ὡς Προέδρου τῆς Εὐρωπαϊκῆς Ἐπιτροπῆς δέν θά φεισθῶ κόπων διά τήν ἀνάληψιν πρωτοβουλιῶν μεθ᾽ Ὑμῶν καί μετά τῶν ἑταίρων μας ἀνά τόν κόσμον πρός προώθησιν τῶν κοινῶν συμφερόντων μας, πρός ἐμβάθυνσιν τῆς συνεργασίας μας καί πρός ὑπεράσπισιν τῆς διεθνοῦς ἐννόμου τάξεως, πυρήν τῆς ὁποίας εἶναι τά Ἡνωμένα Ἔθνη.

Your leadership and dedication to the European Union have been exemplary, and we are confident that under your continued guidance, the Union will achieve even greater heights of harmony, prosperity, and peace.

Your unswerving commitment to the values of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law that the European Union defends and promotes, serves as an inspiration to many. We have witnessed the positive impact of your work on the lives of countless individuals across Europe and beyond, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to climate action and for your efforts to promote solidarity and cooperation among nations, as well as peace and stability in Europe, as we had the chance to personally experience during the recent ‘Summit of Peace in Ukraine,’ in the Bürgenstock just a month ago.

As you embark on your second term, we pray that the Lord grants you wisdom, strength, and courage to face the challenges ahead. May your endeavors be blessed with success, and may you continue to lead with integrity and compassion.

We look forward to witnessing the further progress and achievements of the European Commission under your esteemed leadership. Please be assured of our prayers and support as you continue to serve the people of Europe with dedication and grace.
